Last Saturday, Elizabeth guided us in the use of Movie Maker. She also taught us how to transfer a power point presentation to the Movie Maker platform. If you are using a power point presentation that you already created as your basis for the Movie Maker project, remember to add your voice to the presentation. This is one of the things I’d like you to do since many of you already know how to use Movie Maker, but don’t know how to synchronize sound and image. Anyway, on October 25 Elizabeth will be with us again, this time she’ll be showing us an easy way of doing e-portfolios, sharing a program that will allow us to average our students’ grades, among others.
The following readings are the last I will assign. The first refers to a study called “Keeping Pace”, which I have also included for your perusal. We won’t meet on November 1, you’ll have this day to work on your own to finish all the previous work so that everyone can give their finishing touches to their blogs on November 8 before your presentations on the 15th.

I have already recorded Marisol Ortiz, María Teresa, Lismar, and Nitza-they’ll be able to upload their videos to their blogs on Saturday. The rest can either bring their recording or come prepared on Saturday so that I can film you.

All have to be ruled and this is the case of internet educational programs, states in USA, are trying to regulate the quality of internet educational programs which I consider genuine in the way that these programs are given education at different levels not knowing personally the people interacting. I consider the recommendations, this report shows, are concerning with the student achievement outcomes, student demographics, curriculum development procedures, teacher training, tracking of attendance and activity in the course, and special-education services, might to be considered in order to point to the high standards, innovation and a distribution of best practices regarding to online learning programs, to assure a qualify degree in order with educational law.
In these articles that are very similar, I think that it is great to bring online course to our high schools and other schools but as the article states there should be a moderator or teacher in the classroom to make sure the course is going as it should and to attend the student, if they have any doubt. Something that I thought was a good thing that the NACOL did with the different states was to have a regulation on what is expected of the online course and the requirements for the course. Another fact that call my attention was that it serves the underserved students when their’s not enough student to have a class offered in school they can offer it online and also their recovery of dropouts with this online program and the kids who are currently in juvenile detention centers can also benefit. These articles were interesting and it would be a great deal here in PR but our reality is way behind these articles reality. But lets continue to grow and hope to see all these great things in a future not to far from us.
Online education is rapidly growing among colleges and Universities.Every school needs to keep improving their technological system to provide thestudents with the latest tools on technology. The classroom teacher have to be part of theprocess to make sure that the students are completing the tasks and provide them withthe feedback they need in a challenging approach as this. Careful monitoring of the program has to be considered in order to keep the standards running. It will take a lot of effort in implementing this technique in our DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION, although it can be done.
I know of students that have dropped out of school because they have to help their family with their income. So I see this option of internet educational programs very convenient and up to date. With this technological progress people can work and finish their education. The Department of education should always monitor these institutions that offer these courses and make sure that they are using an updated curriculum. The quality should be monitored continually.

New ways, new ideas, new inventions, are key factors that make our societies dynamic with the potentiality to evolve. A society that can for-see, or have a clear vision of the future, is a society that bases its structure on a sound education for its members. This is the society that will survive and set the pace for other struggling societies. Education is the foundation for this survival and technology is a powerful means. Like every thing that is new, regulation, controls, supervisions must be legislated so as to require efficiency and effectiveness. We are at this corner point. Online education, on line educators have to be held accountable for this new and tremendous responsibility. The idea that technology should be a tool for everyone to have access to, that it can be an intervention tool for young people at risk is a benchmark to a brighter future.
As this article that talk us about online classes I believe that it is an excellent tool for the student s. Computers and internet are sources that are essential in a classroom. But we have to take care with this. It’s good for those ones that can’t go to school, and for the regular students too. But we need to have on mind that people always need to develop all the senses and the multiple intelligences. We ever need someone who model or guide us as Myrna.
